Crafting the Artist Statement - Online

Are you ready to submit your work for exhibition or present your work at a portfolio review or even develop a clearer understanding of your photo project and goals? If so, you are going to have to start with an artist statement. Crafting a well written, well conceived, statement can be an extremely difficult task for visual arts who communicate with images.

We will begin by looking at examples, deconstructing what works and what should be left out, drafting our own statements, and even drafting a fellow classmate’s statement. We will employ various exercises that will help you think verbally about your work. At the conclusion of this three week course you will have a succinct and polished artist statement.
